BOOK WEEK 2020

Ms. Eagney and Ms. McElvaney's classes and Ms. Walsh and Ms. Curran's classes did some paired reading together. It was so much fun! :-)

Pancake fun in Ms. Eagney's class

6th class took part in a
christmas Tráth na gCeist.
We had such fun! Thank you to Mrs. Clabby and the Irish committee for organising this for us.
Some of the questions were so tricky, we even had a babhta pictiúr with some daoine cailúil. Go raibh míle maith agaibh arís to the other teachers who helped us.
Ms. Waterstone's class set up a PE lesson with various stations for Senior Infants! Ms.Meehan's class had a wonderful time and 6th class enjoyed, planning, arranging and preparing to be teachers for an hour.

Ms. Brophy's class showed us their fantastic costumes for Halloween!

Ms. Eagney's class had a great week preparing for Halloween. They learned a Halloween "cup" song, they carved a pumpkin together, created some beautiful Halloween art, performed in a Halloween Dress-up fashion show and played in the "Haunted House".

                                               Happy Halloween!

Ms. Brophy's class went outside recently and planted some beautiful tulips and daffodils. When they went back into the classroom they used this experience to help with their procedural writing on how to plant a flower! We cant wait to see these bloom in the Spring!

Ms. Waterstone's class made delicious brownies! We used our math's skills to measure out all the ingredients! We definitely have some future bakers in our midst! Gorgeous! Yum Yum!

Ms. Naughton's class enjoying some Maths week activities.

They created their own emoji-themed Maths puzzles.

Have a go at solving some of them!

Ms. Waterstone's class had lots of fun today making clay monsters with Mr. Daly! We will miss him when he goes!

Ms. McDonagh's 1st class enjoying Maths actvities and AIT FUN damentals

Mr. Ronaldson's class made blood as part of their investigations into the circulatory system.

Ms. Waterstone's class made fortune tellers! Everyone must have made these as a kid! We put a bit of a twist on them and did them as Gaeilge. This helps to bring some fun to oral Irish and get each other talking!

Thank you to Na Fianna Kickboxing Club who provided the whole school with a Martial Arts workshop on Thursday 26th September. We all had so much fun.
