Coosan Celebrates 50 Years:

On December 2nd, the local community of parents, present and former staff members, past and present pupils, friends and neighbours came together in our GP room, for the official launch of a commemorative book on Coosan N.S. This book was compiled by our dedicated Parents’ Association, who also organised an enjoyable and memorable night for our community. Robbie Henshaw was in attendance.  This added to a most enjoyable evening of recollections and reunions.

This book was published as a celebration of 50 years of schooling in Coosan N.S. and contains many interesting articles and photographs. Anyone who wishes to order a book is welcome to phone the school office.

As part of this celebration, Gearóid O’Brien (from our local library) and Billy Comer (local historian) came to speak to the children in third-sixth classes about the history of the Coosan area and Coosan N.S. 50 years ago.
